Due to the challenges
posed by COVID19, NETCamp 2020 has been cancelled.

A significant number of our planning committee members have taken on
COVID community-support roles and have severely limited time to plan NETCamp. Additionally,  PBEM funds were reallocated to the pandemic and are no longer available to help support NETCamp.

Between these challenges and the
difficulty of recreating this event in a meaningful way given the uncertainty
of the times, we decided to let go of NETCamp for this year.

We are hoping to be able to bring NETCamp back in the summer of 2021.

If you have already signed up for NETCamp, we will be in touch
with you shortly.

Why should I attend NETCamp?

It’s all-in-one-training, and you’ll get to hang out with NETs not just from your neighborhood but from all over Portland. Wouldn’t it be great if you could refresh your skills, learn new skills, and practice deployments at one time and in one place?

You can, with NETCamp.

NETCamp starts Friday night with a formal welcome and social activities while everyone settles in. Each attendee will be assigned to their NET-team-away-from-home, called a NETSquad. You'll stay in communication with your NETSquad by FRS/GMRS throughout the event, doing occasional activities together (you don't need to take the same classes!) and, if you're here on Sunday, ultimately completing the Skills Test Deployment together. Saturday will start with coffee, breakfast, and continue into a full day of classes - we call them Beyond Basic classes. Our classes schedule is designed to refresh and build on the skills you learned in NET Basic Training. Everyone is ready for these classes, no matter how rusty you feel, or how accomplished! Saturday night will be social activities, night-skills practice, and campfire if there isn't a fire ban. Sunday will focus on the Skills Test Deployment, where NETCamp teams (NETSquads) will practice basic NET skills as well as new skills learned the day before.

Don't want to stay all weekend? Pick and choose when you want to be there!

New at NETCamp this year:
  • Saturday attendees will be included in the NETSquad program and not just overnighters
  • Meal plans can be purchased in advance
  • AND...The Annual NET Recognition Event will be held Saturday during lunch!

Join us for a fantastic weekend of learning, camaraderie and fun.
