Skills. Community. And Fun!
Open to all NETs, NETCamp is a place for us to gather, sharpen our skills, participate in a faux deployment, hang out, and enjoy our community. Our Saturday "Beyond Basic" class schedule will be posted on this site on or before August 18th.
The Lodge is fully wheelchair accessible and sessions will be held both in the lodge and around camp. Camp is at Camp Mountaindale in North Plains, only 30-45 minutes west of downtown Portland, so come just for Saturday or stay a night or all weekend. Just like for deployment we will bring our own gear. This includes tents and and camping gear you need if you choose Tent Camping as your NETCamp sleeping arrangement. You may choose to bring and prepare your own food, or you may choose to purchase any or all of your meals from our new NETCamp meal plan (Saturday and Sunday breakfast, Saturday dinner, and a grab'n'go snack for Sunday)(Saturday lunch will be free for those attending the NET Annual Recognition Event). NETCamp is just for NETs, so no plus-ones (aka significant others, spouses, girl/boyfriends, best friends) unless they're NETs, too (insurance). You need a current NET ID to attend, so if yours is out of date or you don't have one yet, use the badge request form. |
The Fine Print.
This event is being organized and run almost completely by volunteer NETs. If you are available to help out, please let us know! Thank you for helping make NETCamp possible!
Alcohol and recreational drugs (including marijuana) are not allowed at NETCamp. Smoking is allowed in designated areas. Weapons are not allowed, including personal archery equipment, but you may bring knives shorter than 6". Service animals are welcome!
Parking is limited, so consider carpooling. We will suggest methods of contacting each other for this as we near the event. We may have buses available, too, and will announce transportation options as we get closer to camp.
There may be a fire ban during our event. If you choose to bring any of your NETCamp meals, you will have access to one of two small kitchens (Pavy's and Rafters) for limited food storage and prep. This year we will be closing the industrial Lodge kitchen to attendees, due to food prep rules since we need if for NETCamp meal plan preparation. If you are tent camping, you are welcome to bring camp food prep equipment including enclosed-flame cook stoves (any fire ban will dictate what we can use - we'll let you know before camp).
Finally, please review our Code of Conduct, regarding all types of inappropriate behavior. We will enforce it!
* COVID19 Planning:
We are planning for an in-person event that follows city and NET program COVID policies.
As always, safety is our highest priority, and we will be ready to take the event virtual if need be.
